I have spent a lot of time speaking with lots of homeowners about the security in their home. I am working to gain some insight on the different ways our homes can become at risk. One of the questions I asked everybody was if they had ever witnessed suspicious activity on their property. It could have been burglary, broken windows, a suspicious individual – anything really. I was surprised that almost everybody had at least one story for me. Many of the experiences eventually led them to get a home security system. I have heard that Home Security KS is a choice that people people have gone with.
One individual informed me that he had been home for the afternoon, but then left to go pick his little boy up from baseball practice. When he and his son arrived back at home roughly 20 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and some things were missing inside. He thought he was being watched, and the robber knew once he left the house. Another mother of 3 said to me that she once opened the door to a man who claimed to be a salesman. After the man finished speaking, he asked if he could come inside to talk it over with her. She said no thank you, and he again replied by asking if he could still come inside to use her phone. Considering the man was being persistent, she declined again and closed the door.
All of us have had our encounters with shady situations and people. Some experiences are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am digging for will help me determine what encourages people to buy a home alarm system. The second woman said she quickly decided to get one the following day.
I have heard tons of comparable stories from other families. People never really know what might happen on a specific day. I am positive that these two people did not wake up that morning and think something out of the ordinary would happen that day. It definitely emphasizes the importance of always being prepared.
